photo-spiration { a new poem, in morning light matters
Sometimes some poems just come out of a blankness. Like this new poem here.

I was staring at this photo. Thoughts of morning, light, leaving this young man reposed held me until a title, a first line lifted from my voice. Like once a negative is exposed to light it declares the edges of photographic subjects, this photo seen through creativity’s pulse, gave me a poem, not from out of an experience, but from many experiences.
something that really is poetry…
I really loved this posted video. It is poetry, plain and simple. This was the first time this Cajun lady had ever seen snow falling in her lifetime. It is wonderful to listen as she savors the snowflakes. I especially love her accent. How her voice uniquely embellishes every syllable, every word, each statement with the gravity of this experience for her. While I recognize delight in her comments, she really expresses herself through how she says everything. Saying something properly is dandy, but all it does is share information. It is our individual cadences which bring warmth, crispness, and true empathy to how we relate to each other. So as I watched this a few times, I had to share this because in this video I have witnessed as pure a poetry that I may ever be able to share here.

She of course did not know how to be a mother or could she nurse. After a while my co-worker caught a sound pitched squeals. Seeking this noise she found, sadly, two and a half 2 week old kittens. Morbidly, the other female even recovered the remains of one kitten bitten in half. The other two, one the runt of the litter was wounded, and the other seemed healthy, and unscathed.
