poems revision } an april eye rewrite this time
Here’s a bit what I’m working on. I’ve revised this one, but don’t yet understand the revision.
I’m working on compiling a private collection for special friends, so I assume that it has something to do with what’s brewing in my head.
From an August’s return
Maybe it’s better if we continued this conversation
Not at all. You say your name is…and
I already knew you. Before, I remember
Flower, delicate magnolia roughsnatched
highjumped branched—that would be
Me. Pretensive then and again. 5AM,
IM-ing off this hook-up site—no less than
ever we were. As always attempting
to complete this puzzle. Or does ego yet
force your fit of me off myself? Either
Or no matter how long I survive
My lives of you…of you and me—of
myself every year pacing sunset to
Sidewalk. And always
The buzzing cicadas recall every
Summer’s end.

another new poem } from The Fireplace Chronicles

I found a lot of inspiration hanging out there. I discovered another side of my poetic voice there. I composed many of the poems that made up my thesis and God in Flight. But most of all I found a group of people that I cherish and feel honored to call friends.
As I am working on the revision of God in Flight for April release, I have been coming across a lot of discarded poem scraps or ideas. The following poem is one of them I collected into a Word file called The Fireplace Chronicles. I do not remember if this were to be a book, a sequence, or a chapbook. All I know is that when I re-read this I had to revisit and complete.

being forever away
It has been awhile since I posted, so much much much is going and gone on. I will elaborate later. But today I wanted to post the title poem to my next collection; a selected poems collection covering 1989 to 2010. I’ve been compiling the collection for some time, and been putting tremendous thought on what I want this book to say about my life thus far. In all respects, each poem is piece and parcel of my life, my history, and desires.
I’ve already designed the cover art and back artwork in a blind rage of creativity one day. Read more
