poems revision } an april eye rewrite this time
Here’s a bit what I’m working on. I’ve revised this one, but don’t yet understand the revision.
I’m working on compiling a private collection for special friends, so I assume that it has something to do with what’s brewing in my head.

Flower, delicate magnolia roughsnatched
highjumped branched—that would be
Me. Pretensive then and again. 5AM,
IM-ing off this hook-up site—no less than
ever we were. As always attempting
to complete this puzzle. Or does ego yet
force your fit of me off myself? Either
Or no matter how long I survive
My lives of you…of you and me—of
myself every year pacing sunset to
Sidewalk. And always
The buzzing cicadas recall every
Summer’s end.

My favorite Neurda Poems…a facebook question
A great and talented friend asked me what my 3 favorite Neurda poems are. The question comes as a paradox for me, it is a hard one, but an easy one. So first here’s my list: “If You Forget Me,” “Nothing But Death,” and “Ode To The Artichoke.” It was hard to chose the poems from Neurda I like since there are so many, so I chose two that had emotional connection to my life. But one of them was a no brainier…it was an easy pick.
